Abstract
According to the fact that the Standard Capon Beamformer (SCB) is sensitive to the steering vector mismatch of the desired signal, and the sidelobe level is high. A sparse constrained Capon beamforming method based on noise and interference spatial spectrum weighting is proposed. The method uses the sparse characteristics of the beam response itself, at the same time it takes advantage of l1 norm suppressing the larger value and protecting the smaller value. It uses the spatial spectrum of noise and interference to weight the beam response at different angles, and then sparse constraints is imposed. In the simulation, water tank experiments and lack experiments, it is shown that the method can reduce the sidelobe level of the beamformer and obtain the deeper hulling, and it can also improve tile ability of the array output Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) and anti-steering vector error.
