Improved regularized orthogonal matching pursuit method used in estimation of directions of arrival

Abstract
To tackle the problem of the stability of the direction of arrival estimation based on the matching pursuit method under the sparse array model, an improved regularized orthogonal matching pursuit method named TROMPDOA (T-transform Regularized Orthogonal Matching Pursuit Directions of Arrival estimation) was proposed. The complexity of the proposed method TROMPDOA is comparable to OMPDOA, but the stability is even better, especially under the low SNR and closely spaced signals conditions. The estimation accuracy of the proposed method was evaluated by experiment, with 1.5° accuracy for both single-source and multi-source.
