Study on the propagation characteristics of Rayleigh wave in multi-layered media with porous medium layer

  • The numerical simulation has been studied in order to research on the propagation of Rayleigh wave in stratified half-space media with a porous layer,and analyze the effect of the parameters of porous media on the dispersion of Rayleigh wave.By the transfer matrix method,we calculate the dispersion and excitation curves of all modes of the Rayleigh waves of the given frequency range,the results are contrasted and analyzed to that in stratified elastic solid half-space. The effect of porosity,permeability,layer's thickness and other parameters on the Rayleigh waves is investigated in both two models,which are two and three layers half-spaces respectively,It is found that the dispersion curve changes obviously when the porosity of the media or the layer thickness changes,on the contrary,it is hard to see the difference of dispersion curve when the permeability of the media changes.
