Sound field separation technique using double layer particle velocity measurements

Abstract
All the current sound field techniques are based on double layer pressure measurements or single layer pressure-velocity measurements.An alternative method using double layer particle velocity measurements based on the two-dimension spatial Fourier transform algorithm is proposed.The theoretical description of the proposed method is first given,and a numerical simulation is used to demonstrate the validity and advantage of the proposed method.The results show that the proposed method can separate the particle velocities generated by the sources on the two sides of the measurement surface effectively.By comparing with the method using double layer pressure measurements,we found that the most accurate separation of the pressure on the measurement surface is obtained on the basis of pressure measurements,and the most accurate separation of the particle velocity on the measurement surface is obtained from particle velocity measurements.
