Introduction to optimization of miniature thermoacoustic coolers

The developments of thermoacoustic engine were introduced in brief.Then the works on the optimization of miniature thermoacoustic coolers were introduced in detail.The results show that an optimized high frequency ther- moacoustic cooler can reach cooling power density levels of a few hundred watts per square centimeter,with applications to laser cooling,electric cooling,and other application s needing thermal management.
