Investigation on frequency response of Rijke-ZT type valveless self-exciting combustors

Frequency response related to temperature distribution of valveless self-exciting combustor, based on Higgins-Rijke type heat driven sound, is studied experimentally. A formula to determine the frequency of this kind of pulsating combustor is derived. Study shows that the frequency of this kind pulsating combustor depends not only on the figure size of combustor but also on temperature distribution of hot gas in it.
