Simulating Doppler ultrasound blood flow signals with the pulsation of the vascular wall

Abstract
A computer simulation method was proposed for Doppler ultrasound blood flow signals with the pulsation of the vascular wall, which was based on the physical models of the blood flow and the vascular wall. Simulated Doppler signals under various sample volumes were generated using this method. In the experimental studies, the mean frequency of the simulated signals were calculated and compared with the given waveforms. From the results, it was seen that this method was valid and could provide a convenient source for the further studies of the methods to separate the blood signal and wall pulsation signal.
