  • Two instantaneous Doppler estimation methods of wideband echoes based on Wigner-Ville Distribution (RND), a typical Time-Frequency Analysis method, are presented. It is proved in theory that the WVD-based timefrequency correlation estimation method is identical to the estimation method based on the matched filter for a known signal. And also、a new estimation method, XWVD peak estimation method, is presented. Computer simulation shows that the XWVD peak estimation method has a lower SNR threshold compared with the former one. And the computation of this method is also reduced in order to be implemented in real time.
