Abstract
the higher-order cumulants was used to estimate the sound transfer function of lung-thorax system from lung sounds. There are many kinds of noises that are thinking of Gauss noise in lung sounds. Simulations verify the restraining Gaussian noise performances of non-Gaussian AR model with higher-order cumulants. Vesicular breath sounds, wheezes, stridors and crackles in the normal lung-thorax system mechanism and abnormal lung-thorax system mechanism were analyzed. Experimental results show that higher-order cumulants can reflect the variation of the sounds transfer function derived by abnormal lung-thorax system mechanism.
