Abstract
The Beam-Displacement Ray-Mode(BDRM)theory has been introduced for the prediction of sound propagation in the stratified shallow water in some papers. The BDRM theory has many advantages such as high accuracy and fast computing speed. In this paper, numerical transmission losses in shallow water are calculated by the BDRM theory. The numerical predictions are in good agreement with the measured transmission loss data.
