The study of demulsification with ultrasonic irradiation on oil emulsion

The displacement effect of water drops in oil under the ultrasonic irradiation is discussed as the basis of demulsification with ultrasonic irradiation. Demulsification experiments are conducted on recovered oil from sewage which are not demulsified effectively by physical chemistry method, and verify the feasibility by ultrasonic irradiation to separate water and oil in the emulsion. Some experimental results are shown in this paper.
