An omni-directional passive locatlization technology of acoustic target with plane circular array

In order to locate the acoustic target passiviy, a scheme of plane circular array is presented and a locatlization algorithm of multi array elements is developed with least square estimation in this paper. Not only can moving target in sky or on land be located, but also the variances of range estimation do not depend on target bearing in this algorithm. Therefore, it has the better ranging performances.The results of computer's simulation show that it is of good localization performances.
