The source-filed relations and highlights model for sonar target scattering

This paper is from the linear source-field relations and the time-variant channel theory,and describes the acoustic highlight's model of the highfrequency sonar targets.It is shown that the acoustic target is modeled the sum of a few strong coherent and a large number of weak random uncorrelation highlights.When the target is moving,the strong highlight the target surfaceis are also moving so the echo of different highlight well be with different additional Doppler shift.For the random highlights,the echoes present the generalized stationary characteristics.Fillally,the compressibility's and accumulabilities of the highlights'echoes are discussed.
