Abstract
In the ordinary pulse echo acoustical imaging system, the details of grey level of the imaging are always blurred by the speckle due to random phase overlapping of backscattering from different elements within a resolution cell, so the resolution of the imaging is destructed. This paper proposed a Delay Weighted Superimposed method for processing the echo signal. This method can decrease the speckle without lossing the useful information, furthermore, it can improve the axial resolution effectively.
