Strong acoustic nonlinearity of bubbly liquids

  • A physical model which describes the nonlinear acoustic property of bubbly liquids is presented.The pulsating bubbles driven by sound waves oscillate violently at resonance and become the source of sacond harmonic sound pressure. So that strong acoustic nonlinearity in the bubbly liquids appears.Comparisions with Wu et.al.'s experiments show that the theory explains the experiments quite well
