A fast interpolation algorithm for discrete signals based on FHT

  • Fast discrete interpolation between successive samples of real sequences mayoften be required in acoustic signal processing systems. In this paper a fast interpolation algorithm for discrete signals based on FHT is proposed. This algorithm requires about 60% ofthe number of real multiplication operations and fewer than 60% of the number of real addition operations of Hsu-Lin algorithm. Besides,it permits of any integer-valued interpolationratio and it is appropriate for parallel processing. The proposed algorithm has been implemented by software and it is efficient in practical acoustic signal processing
