A Chinese speech database

A Chinese speech database has been built in The Institute of Acoustics Academia Sinica. The speech database consists of initials, finals.1282 monosyllables, hundreds of dissyllables and trissyllables, some speech test sentences and short passages which are selected to provide a wide range of phonemic structure, and the digits zero through nine, etc. The number of speakers is 6(3 male and 3 female speakers), who are teachers from the broadcast college and professional announcers, and speak standard Chinese. Speech material are recorded on the high quality tape, and are partially digitaled, so far it has already been used bp many Chinese language reaserch department.
