Abstract
A new frequency domain comensation method is presented. This method is based on the ultrasonic holography B-scan imaging principle. In an acoustic imaging system, the wavefront-angle-dependent distortion caused by any kind of known reasons can be compensated by this method. An example for compensating the distortions caused by a different velocity planar layer is given. The results obtained both in the computer simulation and water tank experiments are satisfactory.
