EXCITATION OF LAMB WAVE BY A POINT SOURCE AND ULTRASONIC ANGLE PROBE

Excitation of Lamb wave by a point source on an isotropic elastic plate are studied and expressions of particle displacement components are given.Considering the action of an ultrasonicangle probe as a set of point sources,the author calculated Lamb wave directivity pattern of the probe.The theoretical deductions are partially checked by experiments.
