STATUS OF COMMUNITY NOISE IN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

  • Noise surveys have been carried out in Beijing, Tianjin and in 22 smal1er towns in the general metropolitan area. This region has a population of about 18 million. The results of these surveys give a picture of the situation of the community noise in a typical section of China and the change in the last ten years, showing the effectiveness of various noise control measures, both technical and legal.
