Abstract
The system simulation technique described in previous paper is studied further in this paper. The new requirement of precise bearing target has been arised due to the multi-beam sonar. Three methods for real-time estimating the incidental signal angle by using the output data of beam are given in this paper. Those are the methods of interpolation-difference correlation and cross-spectrum. The results of system simulation show that these methods can be used to truck multiple target in real-time.
The post-accumulator is one of important part of signal processing of sonar. The fre quency response of two kinds of digital accumulator and the relationship between input and output are given here. The various performance are compared. It is shown that the exponential average accumulator is a device which can be easily implemented and have the behavior similar to ideal moving average accumulator. The results of system simulation carried out in digital computer are given.
Some new thesis of system simulation what we must deal with in sonar design are given in the end of this paper.
