AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY FOR INFRASONIC LOCATION BY USING THE WAVE FRONTS

  • An experimental study for sonic location by using the wave fronts is presented. On the basis of three element array and the wave fronts, we can obtain a set of solutions of azimuths and speeds of the sound. Therefore, we can obtain the location of the source.
    Experimental results of the infrasonic signal processing by this method are given. In some cases, although the condition of plane sound is not too satisfactory, the relative error of the azimuth is only 3.3%.
