A PROPOSAL ON ACOUSTIC CHARACTERISTIC INDICES OF PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM IN A HALL

In this article some acoustic characteristic indices of maximum pink noise sound pressure level, frequency transmission characteristic, sound transmission gain, non-uniformity of sound field and distortions, are recommended. They are based on measurements together with the evaluation of existing equipments and the operational performance of the electroacoustic facilities which are available in China. Some experimental results and the state-of -theatre that have been achieved abroad are also taken into consideration. For the time being the different levels of the acoustic characteristic indices as standard of speech or performance system are preferable.
