DIGITAL CODING OF SPEECH SIGNALES

This paper reports briefly the progress in speech communication late dozens of years and introduces author's main research results and experience in the field-Acoustics of Speech. It contains the contents such as the compression method of speech bandwidth, extraction of pitch period, design principle of channel vocoder, predictive coding of speech signals, estimation method of loudness of quantization noise, auditory masking phenomena in the perception of speech, application of Tree Codes in speech communication and so on.
