A CIRCULAR PIEZO-ELECTRIC TRANSDUCER PRODUCING UNIFORM NEAR FIELD

  • The near field is investigated of a circular piezo-electric transducer excited in form of functions W(ρ)=(1-ρ2/α2)2, (cosπρ/2α)n， (1 + mρ2/α2)-1, (1 + pρ4/α4)-1 + lg(1一qρ/α), ρ being radial variable in polar coordinates, α the radius of the transducer and m,n,p,q constants. Sound pressure distributions along the axis of the transducer have been derived and the near field uniformity has been checked by experiments.
