Song property serving the purpose of communication and stimation of flight phonotactic region in cicadas

The song and hearing propertics in different species of cicadas are compared in this paper. The results show that the song properties serving the purpose of night phonotaxises in cicadas are not only related to dominant frequencies of songs, but also are related to tontic and rhythmic variations of songs.Moreover, the dominant frequentes of songs are related to habitat enviroments, and the flight phonotactic regions are generally below 200 m, the main region is about 60-100 m.
