Experimental investigation of bifurcation in finite-ampntode standsg wave field

  • The phenomena of bifurcation have been observed in experiments on one-dimensional finiteamplitude staiding wave. Besides higher harmonics predicted according to the theory, subharmonics and fractional harmonics also appear in the finite-amplitude standing wave field, as the sound pressure gets higher, and eventually a chaotic state is reached.
