Abstract:
A new algorithm of multi-dimensional localization and tracking of multiple sources in reverberant acoustic environments is proposed.The TDOA estimation based on blind source separation and fusion of multiple microphone pairs for localization are investigated.TDOA-based acoustic source localization approaches suffer from a pairing problem in the case of multiple dimensions and multiple sources.In this paper,one solution was proposed based on a Gaussian likelihood function to pair TDOAs,which can be used to localize multiple moving sources in two dimensions only using two microphone pairs.Moreover,the proposed method is combined with a particle filter for tracking multiple moving sources.Simulation experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
