Abstract:
Following the Corcos's model of cross spectrum of the turbulent boundary layer pressure,a method in the frequency-wave number domain is presented to analyze the flow induced noise in the interior hose of the vector hydrophone towed linear array. As a result, the general forms of the acoustic pressure and particle velocity have been obtained, and the spatial correlations of the flow induced noise have also been calculated. The numerical results show that, the spatial correlations of flow induced noise drop rapidly with the increase of the axial separation between the elements, so the flow induced noise received by different vector hydrophones can be considered as independent.Furthermore, the low frequency component of the flow induced noise is highly correlated in the radial direction, but the radial correlations of the high frequency component can be neglected at the same time.
