Abstract: Professor MAA Dah-You is one of the founders of architectural Acoustics in our country. Base on his foundational work, important developments and great progress have been achieved in architectural acoustic study and design, research and application of acoustic materials during the past half century since the P. R. China was established. In particular, breakthrough developments have been made in some areas of auditorium acoustic design. This paper introduces briefly the contributions that Professor Maa Dah-You has made in architectural acoustics.
