论语音技术的发展

On the development of speech technology

  • 摘要: 将语音技术的发展过程按信号处理方式划分为:波形处理,参数处理和信息处理三个阶段。声源-滤波器模型和隐马尔科夫模型为语音信号处理提供了理论基础和有效方法,使语音信号处理技术进入了新的发展阶段。现有语音技术的产品仍不能满足广泛实用的要求。着重探讨了这两个模型的局限性和在语音信号处理运用中的问题。同时指出在语言机器工作性能评测中应加强诊断测试,以便有针对性地改进模型的运用和进一步在现有模型基础上创建新模型。现在语音技术发展又出现了停滞,要使语音技术发展到一个新的阶段,还需要更多的更深的基础研究工作。“数据越多越好”的主张相当于不可取的填鸭式教育.市场需求牵引和科学技术推动联合的推挽作用,才是语音技术发展的真正原动力.

     

    Abstract: According to the methodology of signal processing the history of speech signal processing was divided into three stages:waveform processing, parameter processing, and information processing. Both source-filter model and Hidden Markov Model have constructed the theoretical bases and supplied the powerful tools. However the products of man-machine speech communication systems based on current speech technology are still not satisfactory in practical applications. Some limitations of these models and troubles in using them were discussed in this paper. It is emphasized that the diagnostic tests have to be added to the performance evaluation of speech recognition systems and speech synthesis systems, in order to improve the operation of these models and to develop new models. The theory of "more data is better data" that seems like force-fed duck style education can not be the way out. And now the speech technology has come to a standstill, more and more fundamental researches are needed to achieve a new stage of speech technology. The real motive power of development of speech technology comes from both market pull and science and technology push.
