Abstract:
A computer simulation approach was proposed for Doppler ultrasound signals from a steady flow in the stenosis. Simulated signals with various velocities at different positions along the vessel were generated on a PC. The spectral analyses were carried out for these signals. Several parameters, such as the maximum frequency, the mean frequency, and the spectral width, were calculated from the Doppler spectrum. Prom the experiment results, it was showed that this approach is valid for the Doppler signal simulation from a steady flow in the stenosis, improves the understanding of the Doppler signal from stenosis, and brings the convenience to the further feature extraction of these signals.
