Abstract:
Holography imaging is a powerful tool that can be applied to the imaging of acoustic sources.In this article,the basic theory treating steady-state acoustic radiation problems on generalized holography has been discussed.Byholography imaging,the vibration characteristics of irregular objects,the one——tone chime stones and two-tone chimestones provided by the Institute of Archaeologyt the Museum of Hubei Province,have been researched.The resultsshow that the ancient chime stones exist two primary vibration modes,which make up the base of sound producing ofthe instrument;as for the two-tone chime stone,when it is excited on different positions,although it radiates differentfrequency sounds,but owing to the decrease in differences of dimensions and the smoothness of the contour,its vibrationmodes are similar.The research is significant for study of sound production and radiating field characteristics of thechime stones.
