Abstract:
It was shown that there were a lot of important physical phenomena from experimental study of strong nonlinear standing waves, such as multipling growth of higher hamonics, suturation of hamonics, bifurcation, and chaos etc. By use of Euler equtions and MacCormack fourth order difference method, the numerical simulation for phenomena of multipling growth and suturation of higher hamonics have been carried out successfully in the paper. A comparison between numerical simulation and the relevant experimental results has been made in detail. It is shown that they are in good accordance.
