Abstract: Science is the first productive force'.The applied research directly works for the innovation and advance of industrial enterprise,and is estremely important in the national reconstruction.The minutes of the Alternative Fiberless Absorber (ALFA) colloquium which the author attended in 1997-07-18~19.in Stuttyart,Germany is reported,and the applied research system,method and successes of Germany are discussed.The experience might be helpful.
