Abstract: In this paper, a technique based on matched filtering method is used to estimate the internal strains of biological tissues. To investigate the feasibility of this method, an onedimensional elastic model of ultrasonic backscattering has been established. Computer simulation results indicate the method can be used to reconstruct strain profile.
