Abstract: This paper presents acoustic model of Chinese woodwind reed instrument Sheaf and applies circuit ideas to its component parts.The condition for sounding is obtained from small-vibration analysis.Calculation of transfer functions gives rise to the transmission characteristics of Sheng pipe.Based on the analysis acoustic spectra are given and discussed.
