Abstract:
Infrasound exposure for 40 male and 20 female subjects at levels 20 dB above the hearing threshold was performed and the effects investigeted. Both blood pressure and pulse were found to be influenced by the exposure in part of the subjects. The largest probability of blood pressure bias from nomal appeared at the sound frequency of 4 kHz.The last result was also obtained in another group of 20 males exposed to a fixed sound level of 125 dB L..These results make known that aside from hearing,,infrasound may somehow affect the function of certain non-auditory systems, the cardiovascular one in particular
