Abstract: In this paper, theoretical and experimental studies on absorbing sound mechanism of active sound absorber is presented. Theoretical and experimental results prove that all the energy of the primary source is absorbed by secondary source and no energy is reflected back by it, when the secondary source is an unidirectional source. The process of absorbing energy is also approached in this paper.
