Abstract: Parameters important in concert hall design will be presented. Illustrations of good new and old concert halls will be discussed, including, why the Boston Symphony Hall is so great. Also, what went wrong at Lincoln Center, Philharmonic Hall, New York, will be analyzed in depth. Eecent studies in Europe and Japan will also be discussed.
