Abstract:
A method for measuring cardiac output based on ultrasonic catheter is proposed, which has two single vibrator transducers with different center frequencies. Ultrasonic catheter, flow pump and phantom are used to form blood circulation loop. Both the detection of blood flow velocity and the segmentation of lumen region of pulmonary artery image are realized, then the measurement of cardiac output is completed. The average relative error between the measured results and the preset flow value of peristaltic pump is less than 2%, which indicates the feasibility of ultrasonic catheter for cardiac output measurement.
