圆阵多项式结构宽带波束形成器的时域降维设计

Time-domain dimensionality reduction design of polynomial wideband beamformer for circular microphone array

  • 摘要: 针对现有圆阵多项式结构宽带波束形成器频域设计方法在短抽头长度条件下性能严重下降的问题, 提出了一种时域降维优化设计方法。首先, 利用圆阵的对称性特点, 理论分析了多项式结构宽带波束形成器权系数存在的对称性, 继而导出圆阵多项式结构宽带波束形成器时域设计的降维形式, 剔除了优化问题中近一半的冗余波束形成器权系数, 有效降低了时域优化问题的维度。然后, 结合交替方向乘子法进一步导出了圆阵多项式结构宽带波束形成器的时域降维优化方法。仿真结果表明, 所提时域降维设计方法在短抽头条件下显著优于现有的频域设计方法, 且在提升时域优化效率方面也具有明显优势。

     

    Abstract: The existing frequency-domain polynomial wideband beamformer (PWB) design for circular microphone arrays (CMAs) degrades significantly for short filter tap length due to the effect of the fitting error. To deal with the problem, this paper proposes a highly efficient time-domain dimensionality reduction design approach. Firstly, a symmetry property of the weight coefficients of the PWB for CMAs is theoretically derived. Then a reduced-dimensional form for the time-domain PWB design is deduced by deleting nearly half of the redundant beamformer weight coefficients. Next, an efficient approach is proposed to solve the dimensionality reduction design optimization using the alternating direction method of multipliers. The proposed design outperforms its existing frequency-domain counterpart for short filter tap length, and is also superior for improving the design efficacy.
